Brooke Burke

Brooke Burke was born August 8, 1971 (Year of the Pig), in Hartford, Connecticut, but raised in Tucson, Arizona, (where supermodel, Amber Valletta, was born before she moved to Tulsa.) Brooke's family has roots in France, Portugal, and Ireland. After accompanying a high school friend to a modeling agency, she was noticed by a talent scout. This led to modeling followed by the winning of an acting scholarship that brought her to Los Angeles where she studied broadcast journalism at UCLA. After signing with high profile agencies, she appeared regularly on magazines, billboards, catalogues, and posters. This was followed up with commercials including those for Total Fitness, Coca-Cola,and Professional Cosmetics. By chance she had an interview with E! Entertainment which led to a contract for "Wild On," as hostess for the popular travel show, where she remains in the public eye.
