Eva Herzigova was born March 10, 1973 in Litvinov, the Czech Republic. She
began modeling after winning a beauty contest in Prague in 1989. When
she reached Paris, she quickly captured the attention of all the top
fashion photographers. (In recent years, more and more models of great
beauty have come from the former Czechoslovakia, such as the long-legged
Adriana Sklenarikova.)
With a passing resemblance to Marilyn Monroe, Eva Herzigova's
worldwide popularity grew, opening the doors to fashion shows
and advertising campaigns
around the world. She was invited to appear in the international
fashion celebration in Moscow. Eva has not limited her activities to
modeling, and has also appeared in the film "Inferno", by Ellen von
Unwerth, and in a French film, "Les Anges Gardiens." She is married to
Tico Torres, Bon Jovi drummer.
