Eva Longoria was born March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas. After
graduating from College with a degree in kinesiology, Eva entered a
beauty pageant and became Miss Corpus Christi USA in 1998 at the age of
23.
Eva then entered a talent contest which led to Los Angeles where
she was discovered and signed by a theatrical agency. She acquired
parts in soaps, appearing in "General Hospital," "The Bold and the
Beautiful," and the "Young and the Restless," where she won an award for
her role.
After a brief stint in "Beverley Hills 90210," Eva co-hosted
"The Talent Agency," a syndicated series. It wasn't until she acquired
a role on the series that would turn out to be a hit, "Desperate
Housewives," that Eva became a household name. Eva portrays a Latin
beauty, Gabrielle Solis. She has found time for cinema with roles in
"Harsh Times," and "The Sentinel" alongside Michael Douglas, Kim
Basinger, and Kiefer Sutherland. She continues to act on television,
including a CBS movie, "The Dead Will Tell," and "L.A. Dragnet", an
updated version of the old Jack Webb series. Eva has also played
comedy, starring and co-producing "Hot Tamales," a comedy-variety show,
as well as a theatrical farce, "What the Rabbi Saw."
