Jodie Kidd
Jodie Kidd, blue-eyed supermodel, with fine blonde hair was born
in Canterbury, Kent, England on January 13, 1977. One of the recognized
most beautiful of the super-models, Jodie has tried her hand at acting,
having played secondary roles on television in Prince Valiant and Mad
Cows. Her claim to fame was that after she began modeling at age 16,
her extreme skinniness, almost skeletal, suggested that her presence
would negatively encourage young girls to become anorexic in order to
mimic her looks. She admits that in her early modeling years, she was
extremely skinny, but she blamed the condition on a glandular fever.
During a break in her modeling career that lasted eight months, she put
on weight and was transformed into a more beautiful and healthy-looking
model. A tall model, it was her height that denied her a role alongside
Tom Cruise in the year 2000 filming of Mission Impossible 2. Her
six-feet 1-inch height and significantly lanky frame have limited
Jodie's Kidd's acting opportunities. Perhaps it would be more accurate
to say that the lack of imagination so obviously prevalent in Hollywood
is the only true limiting factor. There is much to suggest that she
would be as much a super celebrity as a supermodel, but it's hard to
convince the robotic producers that still rule the world of cinema. Just
look at the hack productions they continue to grind out in the hunt for
box office receipts.
