Kelly Ripa
Kelly Ripa was born October 2, 1970 in Stratford, New Jersey. A
blue-eyed blonde, Kelly studied piano, singing, and ballet, but later on
in high school was encouraged to seek a career in acting. Her first
starring role was in the soap "All My Children" (a television series
that would later give many actresses their start,
including Jordana Brewster). Kelly played the role
of the troubled teen, Hayley Vaughan from which she became a
triple Daytime Emmy Award nominee in the Outstanding Supporting Actress
category, having earned her honors in 1993, 1999, and 2001. She has
received numerous Soap Opera awards, including the 1996 Award for
Outstanding Younger Lead Actress. Her greatest acclaim and national
exposure came as a co-host on the daytime talk show, "Live! With Regis,"
for which she received an Outstanding Talk Show Host nomination, along
with Regis Philbin. She continued to pursue acting and in 1999 was
named Best Actress by the New York City Independent Film Festival for
her role in the feature film, "The Stand-In." She has also appeared on
all major late-night talk shows. A supporter of philanthropic
organizations, Kelly is a contributor to many charity foundations.
