Laura Prepon, actress and model, known primarily for her starring role
on a popular television sitcom, was born on March 7th, 1980
(Year of the Monkey),
in Watchung,
New Jersey, USA (a short distance from New York City.) Wanting to be an
actress from a very early age, Laura began studying acting when she was
fifteen. Sports-minded, she is skilled in gymnastics, tennis and dance,
having trained in ballet, and is an accomplished rider.
After brief appearances in theatrical presentations, Laura Prepon was
recognized for her talents in comedy and drama, and subsequently debuted
on television in the long-lasting and popular sitcom, "That Seventies
Show." Laura, the tall, good-looking redhead plays the role
of Donna Pinciotti, "Eric's" girlfriend, always jovial and known for her
perpetual Mona Lisa smile that seems to be always on the verge of
erupting into gales of laughter. The show never gave Laura opportunity
for significant dramatic moments, so Laura has expanded her acting roles
to feature films including "Slackers" with Jaime King, "Southlander" and
"The Lightning Bug." She has many more projects in the works and it is
just a matter of time before she captures the one role that will launch
her to Academy performance stardom.
