Rebekah Elmaloglou was born January 23, 1974 in Australia. Her Greek
father was a cellist and her English mother was a kindergarten teacher,
and a cousin to English actress Judy Dench (Rebekah's aunt). After
training at the Lynda Keane Studios, where she studied singing, dancing
and acting, she appeared in many television roles and films. Her most
notable role was on a long-running soap opera, "Home and Away." She
appeared on the series for more than sixteen years starting in 1989, and
was later joined by two brothers in the same series. The series has starred
a number of artists who have gone forward to notable careers, including
among others,
Rebecca Cartwright.
Rebekah's film roles include "A Country Practice," (1981) as Christina
Agapitos, "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome," (1985) "Princess Kate," (1988) and
"The Sum of Us" (1994) as Jenny Johnson. She has also appeared on stage
in "Caravan" at the Sydney Opera House.
